late on the updates
i bought some asian noodles (what i always think is chow mein, but chow mein is crunchy) and made an odd stirfry. the "soy sauce flavor" included was really nasty and was not used.
i just had a bagel (taken from work) with butter and it was about the best thing i've ever eaten. maybe i was really hungry.
uh, pasta, chips and salsa, parmesan and crackers, and i defrosted some bread. mmm, carbs. oh, and an artichoke. i left the leftover leaves in a bowl instead of throwing them out immediately, and they turned a very bright green-blue color. i've no idea what causes it, but it was very pretty and only mildly disturbing.
currently trying to figure out a dessert to take to an outdoor opera. it'll be something like lemon bars or strawberry-rhubarb bars or key lime pie bars.
answer: key lime pie bars, based on the crust from here (except with girl scout shortbread) and the filling from here. except just lime, not key. they came out a little too sweet for me, so i took the leftovers into into work.
